I published a new version of my Friendica app for Android and Linux.
Changes are mainly the switch to OAuth2 as authentication and a Dutch translation by Vistaus. And the usual bugfixes, i.e. the gallery works again.
There is plenty of space available. And I did not uninstall a previous version since I was never able to install it in the first place.
I might have tried a version before it was in F-Droid, but this could have been on a previous phone. Nevertheless, I cannot find any "residue" of a previous installation. Although Android might be good at hiding it, so I'm not 100% sure.

I'd love to give it a try, but cannot install from F-Droid. There's already an issue describing it in the error in your Repo:
