@Fabio @~vidak OStatus is Atom + ActivityStreams 1 + WebSub + Salmon (+ ...), no XMPP.

The predecessor of OStatus was OpenMicroBlogging, which ran over XMPP.

These days there's a proper microblogging XEP and as @Marco R. points out Movim is one implementation of that.

@Mike, First of His Name @Goffi @~vidak Back in the day there was also BuddyCloud, but I don't know if that used the microblogging XEP. I think it was something else entirely. Either way it petered out many years ago.
